Part of the charm of living in our small, but mighty, community is that eventually, you know someone, without really knowing how you know them. This week’s feature is that exact scenario for me. The one and only, and very talented Emily Vorlicky.
If you were to ask me how I met her, or how I know her, to be quite honest I wouldn’t be able to tell you. I just know that I know her. Moreover, I know that I like her. And I would guess, that from all that she does in our community, many of you would all say that you know and like her too.
For those of you that are unfamiliar, Ms. Emily runs a boutique called “From Joey, With Love.”
‘Joey,’ is the adorable nickname for her daughter and the boutique features absolutely stunning, adorable, homemade one-of-a-kind bows, home décor, clothing items and so much more.
As a validated girl momma, I can assure you her boutique is an absolute jackpot. However, even if you have boys, you can find the cutest and most unique items.
I cannot stress how much I love this homegrown business.
Emily has an amazing voice and often lends it to the Best of Broadway crew. I have never been a part of BoB, but even I have heard that Emily is an integral part of the production’s success.
And come to think of it, while I was the SRO at Lassen High, I can remember several football games in which Ms. Emily graced the crowd with her beautiful voice.
Emily currently has one beautiful daughter (little Miss “Joey”) and a husband who can always be seen supporting his wife when she is selling her goods.
If you speak with Emily in person, you will surely recognize her from her ear-to-ear beaming smile.
She always is so pleasant, and I don’t think I have ever seen that woman look anything but flawless. Not in a superficial way, but in an elegant, classy manner, that I could only master if I had a team of people helping me in the morning to get ready.
She is incredibly sweet and always willing to help, pretty much anyone and anywhere she is needed. I encourage you all to check out her boutique, and support this wonderful woman, who is one of the reasons I love the place we live.
