What a Difference a Dad Makes: Fatherhood Conference this Saturday at LCC

To celebrate Child Abuse Prevention Month the Lassen County Child Abuse Prevention Council is hosting the First Annual Fatherhood Conference this Saturday, April 27th, from 9:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. at Lassen Community College.

The theme of the conference is ‘What a Difference a Dad Makes’ and will feature keynote speaker Ronald Mah who will talk about fatherhood for the new millennium.

There will be fun and educational breakout sessions during the afternoon including Raising a Reader, the Importance of Play, Have Fun Exploring the World of Science and Community Resources 101.

Attendees will also hear from the experts with representatives from the Access to Justice Center who will talk about General Overview of Parentage, Custody and Visitation.

Lassen County Child Support will have a presentation called Fathers and Child Support another Way to Show Your Child You Care.

This is a free conference for dads and breakfast and lunch will be provided. All dads that attend will receive a great T-Shirts and have their name entered in the drawing for a chance to win some exciting door prizes. The prizes have been donated by many local businesses and community members.
