Here in the northern hemisphere autumn officially began at 4:44p.m. on September 22nd.

To herald the appearance of fall we were treated to a spectacular Harvest Moon – that is the full moon that appears closest to the date of the fall equinox.

Dr. Bateson, our resident meteorological expert, took the neat photo of the full Harvest Moon over Susanville.
