Preparations are underway for a June 24th Memorial planned to honor Susanville Police Officer Ryan Barham and the police department needs volunteers from the community to help with several projects, as well as donations of food for a potluck.
“We at the Susanville Police Department have been overwhelmed by the love and support our agency has received since the passing of Officer Ryan Barham,” the SPD posted to social media on Monday.
The Police Department has received numerous requests from the community asking how they can show their support for Officer Barham, and here are some of the ways you can help with the memorial.
Officers will be arriving from all over the country to take part in the memorial and organizers want to show them the pride and support our community has for Officer Barham by providing them a hand written note, or picture, as well as a little snack goody bag.
The Susanville Police Explorers, who held a special place in Officer Barham’s heart, will be assembling the law enforcement ‘Thank You Goody-bags’ for all of the first responders who attend.
To help with this project the Police Department needs the following items:
- Hand written notes/drawings for law enforcement
- Non-perishable snacks/goodies
- Baggies
Donations can be dropped off to the Susanville Police Department so that the Explorers can assemble the baggies with the notes. For more information you can email Victoria at [email protected].
