Video: Brief Ceremony Honors Children Who Have Been Lost to Violence

As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, a flag raising was held Friday morning in Susanville to honor children across the country, and close to home, who were lost to violence.

The short ‘Children’s Memorial Day’ ceremony included presentations by Director of Lassen County Community Social Services Jenna Aguilera, Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Dave Woginrich, Wrap-Around Process Facilitator Supervisor Jayson Vial and Lassen County District Attorney Melyssah Rios.

The event, which was well attended, was held at the county’s offices on Riverside Drive.

Reporting abuse and neglect is everyone’s responsibility. Click here to download a resource for all adults describing signs of child abuse and where to report it.
