A 54-year old Las Vegas Nevada man was arrested on multiple charges after a California Highway Patrol officer stopped him for speeding near the Bogard Rest Area last Tuesday and discovered he was, “in possession and transporting a large amount of marijuana, hash oil and edibles packaged for sale.”
At around 3:15 Tuesday afternoon, according to the CHP report, a man that the agency identified as Las Vegas resident Douglas Michael Stramm was driving eastbound on State Route-44 west of the Bogard Rest Area, exceeding the 65-mph speed limit. The officer conducted an enforcement stop and discovered the contraband in the vehicle.
Stramm was arrested for a litany of charges including; transportation of cannabis for sale; possession of cannabis for sale; possession of more than 28.5 grams of cannabis; open container of cannabis; possession of a switchblade knife; unlicensed driver and exceeding the 65-mph speed limit.
Additionally, $3,664 in cash was seized.
Stramm was booked into the Lassen County Adult Detention Facility.
