Officers from the Susanville Police Department arrested two men in Memorial Park Wednesday after they were found to be in possession of weapons, controlled substances and a large amount of cash.

On July 17th, according to details released by the department Thursday, officers were dispatched to an address on North Street at around 5:20p.m. for a reported prior fight.

“While en-route to the call officers were advised that the suspect in the case left the residence and was at Memorial Park,” explains Police Captain Ryan Cochran.

Officers arrived at the park and contacted a man they identified as 20-year old Susanville resident Jarret Law.

“During the investigation Law was found to be in possession of a sawed off shotgun, ammunition and a controlled substance,” said Cochran.

Officers also contacted 24-year old Susanville resident Ilario Brazzanovich who they found to be in possession a controlled substance, a hand gun and approximately $10,000 in cash.

Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Lassen County jail where Law is being held on $35,000 bail and Brazzanovich was held on $37,000 bail.

According to Cochran the case has been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office for review.

“Based on the totality of the investigation,” said Captain Cochran, “asset forfeiture will be pursued with this case.”
