Officers from the Susanville Police Department arrested two men in Memorial Park Wednesday after they were found to be in possession of weapons, controlled substances and a large amount of cash.

On July 17th, according to details released by the department Thursday, officers were dispatched to an address on North Street at around 5:20p.m. for a reported prior fight.

“While en-route to the call officers were advised that the suspect in the case left the residence and was at Memorial Park,” explains Police Captain Ryan Cochran.

Officers arrived at the park and contacted a man they identified as 20-year old Susanville resident Jarret Law.

“During the investigation Law was found to be in possession of a sawed off shotgun, ammunition and a controlled substance,” said Cochran.

Officers also contacted 24-year old Susanville resident Ilario Brazzanovich who they found to be in possession a controlled substance, a hand gun and approximately $10,000 in cash.

Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Lassen County jail where Law is being held on $35,000 bail and Brazzanovich was held on $37,000 bail.

According to Cochran the case has been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office for review.

“Based on the totality of the investigation,” said Captain Cochran, “asset forfeiture will be pursued with this case.”

First of all nice gun. That belongs in a museum. Secondly, parks are for our kids and law abiding adults. Not a place for wanna be drug dealers. Third and final, these fellas need a new career that pays better. That looks like $26. in cash. You can’t even get a taxi to take you home with that much. Lol

Sorry to see this, but it’s reality, and I am really glad something is being done. Too much is allowed to happen at that park and it’s the rest of the community, especially the little ones, who are missing out.

Those brass rounds to the upper far left look like ak rounds or sks rounds. Yet all they show is a sawed off 20 ga. shotgun and what appears to be a 9mm or 380. Interesting.

A small rural town is no longer immune to this type of crime any longer. I am glad that SPD are cleaning up our streets and keeping these type of bad boys out of our town. 😊👍
