Symphony Presents an Evening of Arias and Overtures February 22nd and 23rd

Arias and overtures will be featured as the Susanville Symphony takes to the stage February 22nd and 23rd with a concert focusing on classical music.

“There are so many milestones in this concert that it’s almost too much to list,” said Symphony Conductor and Artistic Director Ben Wade.

Milestones include the christening of the United Methodist Church’s new organ. Dennis Roberts will be playing the Poulenc organ concerto.

“I’ve been in the church and listened to the pipes of the organ and man let me tell you it is awesome,” said Wade.

The symphony will also be welcoming back to the stage local superstar Liudmila Mullin as she sings some of the most famous Arias ever written.

Last but not least up-and-coming composer and vocalist Kolby Van Camp will fly into premier one of his newest pieces called Lullaby of the Plains.

Famous overtures like The Barber of Seville and the William Tell Overture will be performed in rousing fashion.

Concerts will be held at the United Methodist Church, 70 South Lassen Street, at 7:00 on Friday and 2:30 on Saturday.

Tickets are available at Margie’s Book Nook and Axia Home Loans. For ticket information call 530.310.8111 or visit the symphony online at www.susanvillesymphony.com.
