Lassen Family Services Parenting Group Classes. Reduce the chaos and power struggles; learn an approach to parenting that is both simple and effective. “Positive Parenting with a Plan,” by Matthew A. Johnson, Psy. D., MSW, helps parents establish order and structure in the home, including rewards and positive consequences that work! Designed as a 12-week program, group and individualized instruction is provided on an on-going basis. Group classes are held Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

Lassen Land & Trails Trust – Home Brew Competition. The 2nd Annual Lassen Land and Trail Trust Homebrew Competition is back. Enter a beer or just come out to taste and vote on the best brew in Lassen County. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets include a 3 hour open tasting and a bratwurst bar. Event is from 5:00 – 8:00p.m., at LL&TT 601 Richmond Rd. All proceeds go to preserving working landscapes, community events like the farmers market, outdoor youth engagement including Nature Camp, and advocating for regional trail networks.
