Susanville Symphony Swing Fling Fundraiser Saturday

After years of Susanville Swing Band fans clamoring for more, band leader Matt Mullin and the swing big-band have added a special fundraising performance this Saturday, May 18th, that will feature lots of the songs you love from the 20’s 30’s and 40’s.

“Our fall Swing Band concert is a favorite among our regular symphony season concerts,” says symphony Executive-Director Dana Hirsche, “and over the years we have had many requests from music lovers to add more evenings of swing and dance to our season.”

The fundraiser concert is a chance to come and dance the night away and help the Susanville Symphony continue to provide outstanding music to our community.

The Susanville Symphony is a nonprofit organization that depends on its generous patrons to keep going.

“It’s our goal to upgrade some of the musician’s equipment with the funds raised at this unique spring concert,” said Hirsche “lighting, chairs, stands etc.”

The swing concert will feature not only talented musicians but some awesome vocalists as well; Liudmila Mullin, Julianne Pepetone, Linda Braun, Lindsey Martin, Kris Szovati, Debra Sokol, Jon France and Chris Gallagher.

The special one-night performance starts at 7:00p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall on Main Street across from the High School. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at Leslie’s Jewelry. For ticket information call 257-2920 or 310-8111.
