Susanville FFA Travels to Shasta For First Live Competition in 19 Months

Competitors from Susanville FFA travelled to Shasta College on Thursday, taking part in a live contest for the first time in 19-months and ranking well across a variety of team and individual competitions.

“What a joy to see you all getting to check out Shasta College and demonstrating your hard work,” said FFA Advisor Elizabeth Ammon. “So proud of you guys.”

According to Ammon Advanced Ag welding was 3rd-high team and Cody Selig placed 3rd-high individual.

Novice ag mechanics placed 2nd-high team.

Floral design placed 1st-high team with EmmaLee Rotlisberger placing 3rd-high individual and Taylore Somerville placing 2nd-high individual.

Veterinary science also placed 1st-high individual with Isabell Moore placing 1st-high individual and Claire Robinson placing 3rd-high individual. Advanced livestock judging was 5th-high team.

The team from Susanville also won the Sweepstakes, which is based on team and individual placings and awarded to the school with the highest points overall.
