Susanville’s Sunrise Rotary Club chose the winners of its Youth Music Contest on April 1st at Lassen High School.
Elise Giles took 1st place with a piano piece called “Sherzo”; Chalise Robbins played “Pirates of the Caribbean” on piano taking 2nd place and $75; Danielle Ware played an original piece on bass guitar, taking 3rd place with $50 and Honorable Mention went to Emmanuel La Porte for “In the Rain” on saxophone.
First place winner Elise Giles went on to the Rotary District Music Contest and took 2nd place, winning a $750 prize.
