Once again a local businesses in town is graciously helping out one of our schools in need. The 8th grade class at Janesville school needed help raising money for their annual graduation trip and local businessman Chuck Downs, owner of Susanville’s Subway restaurants, graciously offered to assist in helping the class raise money by hosting a day-long fundraiser where 10% of sales will be contributed to the students.
“Education needs to be fun,” said Downs. “Some of these kids have never had a chance to visit Disneyland or the money to do so and the education program that Disney puts on is amazing.”
The fundraiser will take place on March 15th from 7:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. at both Susanville Subway locations.
“This is a great opportunity for the kids to learn and have fun doing it,” said Downs. “I believe that as a local business that you need to give back into the community and it’s not just Subway, many of our local businesses do just that.”
