Special People’s Day at the Fair

Today is Special People’s Day at the 2011 Lassen County Fair.

Lots of fun stuff to do on this first full day of the Lassen County Fair. Judging for 4H and FFA entries in sheep, poultry and market goats begins at 8:00a.m. in the Judging Pavilion.

Local dignitaries will gather at the Jensen Hall entrance to the fairgrounds for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and fair commencement at 11:00.

The Carnival opens at noon along with ground entertainment which includes a dog show, juggling, Snuffy the magic clown and annual favorite Circus Imagination. All grounds acts are free.

Rotary will hold their annual luncheon in the grandstands at noon today and at 1:00 there will be Special People’s Day activities on the RiTone stage.

Entertainment this evening includes country band Whiskey Dawn and in the grandstands at 7:00 Windjammer Cable takes you back through the history of entertainment in our armed forces with the U.S.O. Show.

Gates will be open at the fairgrounds from 11:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. and the carnival will be open from noon to 11:00p.m.
