Salvation Army’s Kettle Kick-Off Dinner to be Held November 7th

The Susanville Salvation Army will be hosting a drive-thru version of their annual Kettle Kick-Off fundraising dinner on November 7th, at the start of the organization’s busiest season of the year.

The dinner, which will be held between 4:00 and 6:00p.m. at Lassen Senior Services on Sunkist Drive is the start of the Red Kettle fundraising campaign and the event is meant to help share all that the Salvation Army does within the community.

The organization provides a variety of services and programs to families in Lassen County including emergency assistance in the form of utilities, transportation and housing, Christmas food and Angel Tree gifts, a week of summer camp and a back to school program that provides clothing, backpacks and supplies to local children.

Funds raised stay in Lassen County to support all of the Salvation Army’s programs throughout the year.

The dinner features lasagna and dessert by Merry Morsels.

Tickets, which are $15 per person or $60 for a family of 5, are available to purchase at the Salvation Army, 1560 Main Street. Ticket sales close November 3rd.
