Salvation Army Offering Four Food Programs for Those in Need

The Salvation Army office in Susanville is offering four different food programs to assist those who might need help during this difficult time.

Daily “Table” Food:
There is a variety of food available on the table, and in the refrigerator, at the Salvation Army’s office, 1560 Main Street Mondy through Fridayfrom 9:00a.m. until 12:00p.m. Clients may come once per day and receive food. Food type and quantities vary. At times the Salvation Army also has hygiene products and pet food.

Twice Monthly Food Distribution:
Food distribution is the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. You can pick up a number as early as 8:30a.m. and distribution begins at 12:30p.m. Follow the Salvation Army on Facebook for any changes in the schedule

Emergency Food Boxes:
Clients who are experiencing financial hardship may receive an emergency food box on an as-needed basis. These boxes provide approximately four days of food and include non-perishable, as well as perishable items. They vary in size according to the number of people in the household.

Senior/At Risk Food Delivery:
Senior citizens or those at-risk can call the office and request a food box delivery. This is a temporary program in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Please call the office to schedule.
