Police Seeking Suspect in Armed Robbery at Walgreens Store

The Susanville Police Department is seeking a suspect for the Saturday evening armed robbery of the Walgreens store on Main Street.

Officers responded to the store at around 9:30 after receiving a report that a robbery had just occurred. They arrived but could not locate anyone in the area.

“The clerk working the register at Walgreens said a person walked in the store wearing black pants and a camouflage hooded sweatshirt that covered his face,” explains Susanville Police Chief Kevin Jones. “The person walked around the store for a few minutes and approached the counter with an item.”

The clerk was unable to see the suspect’s face but did notice that he was wearing black gloves.

“The suspect pulled a black semi-auto pistol and pointed it at her. The clerk put the money in the register in a Walgreens bag. The suspect walked out of the store.”

Information about the suspect is in short supply with the only details provided being that the robber appears to be approximately 5’9” and a slender build.

The case is still under investigation, anyone who has information should call the Police Department at 257-2171 or anonymously to Crimestoppers at (530) 502-TIPS.
