The Susanville Police Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office threw a great party in Memorial Park Tuesday evening, celebrating National Night Out, an annual get-together that aims to make neighborhoods safer and better places to live.

Lisa Bernard, Youth Services Officer for the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, was instrumental in putting together the community night in the park and thanked everyone from the three agencies for their help hosting the event, along with the Neighborhood Watch Groups that came out to give information to community members on how they are structured and operated.

“Special thanks go to Forgery and House of Dance for providing awesome entertainment and Victoria Estrada from Susanville Police Department for her help organizing the event.,” said Bernard.

“Most of all, I’d like to thank the community for their support of our local law enforcement agencies.”

Each year, on the first Tuesday in August, neighbors across thousands of communities, from all 50 states, United States territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide participate in the National Night Out celebration.

Check out Marshel’s video from House of Dance’s performance in the park.
