Despite 17 degree temperatures more than 200 participants came out early Thanksgiving morning to be a part of the 7th annual Turkey Trot in downtown Susanville. The event, which is a fundraiser for Lassen Senior Services, is organized by the Bizz Running Company and has become a holiday tradition for many local families.
Some of the runners, including whole families, showed up in costume – from turkeys to superheroes – to add to the festive occasion.
