The Honey Lake Valley Community Pool on South Street has a brand new flag pole and flag thanks to Caleb Heffner, a local scout who completed the project as part of his bid to become an Eagle Scout.
The flag, donated by Bruce Davie, was raised for the first time in a ceremony held Friday evening at the pool’s entrance. A crowd of local law enforcement, first responders, city staff and community members gathered to watch as both the American flag and the California flag were hoisted above the pool.
Heffner thanked the sponsors who made the project possible, including Arlin Billington from ACE Hardware, TnS Concrete, Payless Building Supply, Larry Wolfe and LMUD.
