National Weather Service – High Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Advisory that reads:

… Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 am to 10 PM PST Wednesday…

* Timing: winds will increase late Wednesday morning and continue through Wednesday evening.

* Winds: southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 55 mph. The strongest winds will occur over the Surprise Valley… Lassen County and northern Washoe County.

* Impacts: motorists should use caution on highways 395 and 447 and remain alert for sudden gusts or cross winds.
