A neat project by the Susanville Monticola Club, undertaken by the group’s Corresponding Secretary Emily Pangborn, added a little fun to the ‘Meals on Wheels’ delivered by Lassen Senior Services last week.
Pangborn created Marshmallow Ghosts to brighten the day of more than 100 homebound seniors in Westwood, Susanville and Doyle who are served by the program.
The Monticola Club is a women’s volunteer community service organization dedicated to improving our community. They have been a big part of this town since 1912 providing scholarships, food for the needy and taking on community projects.
The organization is currently getting ready for their annual Christmas Boutique and Country Store which will be open at the Monticola Club on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
