Minta Young
Minta Young, 92, of Herlong, CA, passed away peacefully June 20, 2014 at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, CA.
She was born October 17, 1921 in Denning, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John and Bessie Shirley, and had resided in Herlong since 1952. She was a homemaker and an avid walker for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was a dear sweet lady and loved so much by her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren Young, also three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her son Jerry Young (Marie), daughter, Nancy Garza (Paul) both of Herlong, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Minta Young will be held at the Doyle Senior building on Sunday, June 29 from 2:00 to 4:00.
