Marjorie Anna Lemison

Marjorie Anna Lemison was born April 28, 1918, Corona Riverside CA. Her parents were James Francis Gaynor and Madge Ida Richey.

Marge passed away December 12, 2013 at River View Nursing Home. Her brothers and sister are Harold, Edward, Charles, Newell, James, Madge, Gertrude, Betty and Franklyn. They have all past away.

Marge was the fifth child in her family. They moved to Fresno CA when she was five years old. She married James Earl Lemison Sr. September 2, 1938. They moved to Merced. Their first child was James Earl Lemison Jr. born December 27, 1943. They moved back to Fresno a few years later. Her daughter Linda Ellen was born July 22, 1946. A few years later they moved back to Bakersfield, CA and then to Oxnard, CA where they stayed for 13 years.

Marge was a cub scout leader, a Brownie Scout leader. She helped with Job’s Daughters. She received a Life Time P.T.A Award in 1959. She was a member of Eastern Star. Marge and her family joined the L.D.S church in 1960.

James, Marge and their children moved to Chester in the 1960’s. Pop had an automobile repair shop. Earl went into the army and Linda went to Chester High School.

In 1967 Marge and James moved to Sacramento, CA. When pop past away Marge sold her home and moved in with her daughter in March 1988.

Marge loved to tell stories about her family. She enjoyed, crochet, making ceramics, working in her flowerbeds and camping. Marge has 6 grand children, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grand children.
