The holidays are over and people are looking for ways to stay active and get out of the house in the new year, so Lassen Land and Trails Trust is inviting everyone to enjoy a ski trip followed by some warm homemade soup this Saturday, January 25th.
Due to a lack of snow the ski trip, originally planned for Butte Lake, will be held at Hog Flat. Participants are welcome to join in and cross-country ski, or snowshoe, around Hog Flat, led by member and supporter, Phil Finkel.
Skiers and hikers will carpool to the starting point, and will meet at the Depot at 8:30a.m. The loop around Hog Flat is approximately 6 miles.
Please pre-register by calling (530) 257-3252, dress appropriately and bring water, snacks and lunch.
Everyone is welcome at the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot at 5:30 p.m. for an array of hot, homemade soups, breads and cookies.
Just want to eat out? Well, then simply come to the depot for dinner.
There is no cost to register for the ski trip. The soup dinner is for a $10 donation per person and a $5 donation for children 12 and under. While filling up on great soups, enjoy a no-host bar.
