School Recalls its Anniversary
September 13, 1930

The twenty-first anniversary of the dedication of the Lassen County High School at Susanville was observed Tuesday afternoon in the assembly hall at the school.

Student Body President Don Cook addressed the meeting. Two telegrams were read, one from Prof. Frank C. Schofield at Palo Alto, first principal of the school, and David Durst of Bakersfield, a later principal, and a letter from John Landrum of Stockton, a former principal.

Ivor B Clark, auditor and recorder of Lassen County, told of twenty-four years ago, when a student he attended school which was held in two rooms in the grammar school building, with two teachers and thirty-four students.

Judge H. D. Burroughs, who was orator twenty-five years ago, gave an address and told of the wonderful growth of the school in twenty-five years, now houses in two modern large stone building with twenty-one teachers and three hundred students.
