Edmund L. Smith and brother, Charles C. Smith, this week took over the business of the Menth Auto Supply Company, 1030 Main street, which they purchased from J. F. Menth. The new name of the concern is “Smith Brothers Motor Supply.”

Menth retains the building. Ed Smith has resigned as secretary and office manager at the Lassen Lumber & Box Co., and will be succeeded by Merlyn Mulroney, former paymaster.

Charles Smith, formerly machinist for the Fruit Growers Supply Co., also resigned. On August 10, 1942, he joined the seabees, saw service throughout the south Pacific and returned last October.
