All families in Susanville are urged to decorate their yards and homes for the Christmas season and to report their address to a local committee in order that the Santa Claus caravan, planned for Dec. 23, may drive by to see the work.

Those decorating should call Mrs. C. E. Parsons. Residents are all asked to call Mrs. Parson if they can go caroling any evening from December 20 through 23.

Street lights and decorations have already been placed over Main street. The work was done by the street department. The city council purchased a group of life-sized plastic figures which were placed at the head of Main street. Bob Davis has installed a sound truck behind the scene from which music will come each evening.

The Future Farmers of America, under Frank Fox, and a crew from the State Division of Forestry under the direction of Roy Bengard, ranger, are placing evergreen wreaths and garlands around lamp posts and telephone poles.

Various organizations and individuals, including city councilmen, have been busy on this project for some time.
