LCC Volleyball and Richmond School Host Volleyball Play-Day

This past Friday, April 28th, 11 teams from Lassen County feeder schools participated in the Lassen County Eastern Athletic League Volleyball Play Day hosted by the Lassen College Volleyball Team and Richmond Elementary School. LCC coach Julie Brown and Richmond Elementary coach Carrie Satica organized a day of volleyball starting with pool play and moving into a bracketed tournament.

Winners of the day were Diamond View 7th and 8th grade teams, coached by Brenda Moran, both teams took home the first place trophy in their divisions.

South County took 2nd place in the 8th grade division, and Richmond took second in the 7th grade division.

MVP and All tourney teams were nominated by coaches and officials and included:

8th grade MVP Mila Knezevich (DV), and all tourney team: Gabby Caldwell (South County), Taylor Nethery (DV), Reegan Floyd (Johnstonville), Ronnie Merrill (Janesville), and Autry Satica (Richmond).

7th grade MVP Katelyn Sanchez (DV), and all tourney team: Jordan Crosby (DV), Katie Marsh (Richmond), Serafin Doss (Janesville), Briana Russ (South County), Whitney Diaz (Westwood), and Kaitlyn Rash (Johnstonville).

Lassen Community College will hold a Volleyball Camp the week of June 12th – 15th, from 3-6 each day in the LCC Gym and would like to invite all interested athletes to participate. Visit the Lassen volleyball Facebook page or check the LCC website for more information.
