Lassen County residents can have their cats spayed or neutered at a reduced cost thanks to the Lassen Humane Society. The organization has announced January 11th as the start date for it’s 2019 cat spay and neuter program which will pay most, or possibly all, of the cost of standard cat spay or neuter surgeries performed at participating area.

This program will run until March 31st, or until 125 cats have been fixed, at which time the program will be evaluated and possibly extended.

To take advantage of the program pet owners must contact the veterinary office of their choice for an appointment and costs, then provide that information to Lassen Humane Society by phone at 257-4555. When the appointment information is provided to the society, they will give the veterinarian’s office a voucher number for that appointment and number of cats.

Only the cost of a standard surgery will be considered and any overage or extras must be paid by the owner. The Lassen Humane Society will pay applicable charges directly to the veterinary office and no funds will be paid to an owner.

To set up an appointment call one of these veterinarians:
