Lassen High News and Information for Students and Parents
Future Business Leaders of America will host a Holiday Food Drive from now through November 22nd. Every donation will be used to fill the Lassen High Lending Locker. Suggested items are grab and go items like beef jerky or granola bars, or nonperishable food that is easy to heat up. Food boxes will be located in Lassen Business classrooms (Larson, Schall, Satica and Dawn Egan). Your donation will help fill our lending locker for the holidays.
Girls Basketball Tryouts are November 4th, 5th and 6th: Frosh in big gym at 6:00a.m. to 7:30a.m. JV and Varsity in big gym from 3:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. You must have a pink slip to tryout.
Boys’ soccer open field is being held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:30 to 5:00p.m. at Riverside Park.
It’s time for the Advanced Art Fall Show! New works created by students in Art 2, Art 3, Art 4 and Ceramics 2 will be on display at the district office board room starting Tuesday, November 12th. There will be an opening reception from 4:00 to 5:30p.m. when all will be welcome to come view the artworks, grab a light snack, and talk to the artists about their work. Come join us to see and celebrate the creativity of Lassen’s art students. Admission is free, and you do not need to dress up.
Seniors and parents of seniors – On November 6th at 5:00p.m. financial aid experts will be hosting a workshop to assist families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, California College Promise Grant, Chafee Grant and where to find scholarships.
If you are supplied with either electrical power through PSREC or Internet service through PST and are a sophomore, junior or senior you qualify to win an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC. Written essay and application must be returned to PSREC by Friday, November 15th. For more information please contact the counseling office.
