Frightmare Forest is accepting signups for volunteers in the Library. Unlike previous years, there will be a stricter volunteer process. Proceeds help with various community clubs. See Mrs. Shaffer for more info
Support our Back the Blue competition! Cadet Corps has created a squad challenge where each of our 5 squads has a box to fill with appreciation gifts for our awesome law enforcement officers. At the end of the month, the squad with the fullest box will receive a prize, but better than that, the boxes will be given to specific law enforcement officers from the Sherriff’s Department, Susanville PD and The California Highway Patrol to show them how much we support and value them.
The 5 Back the Blue boxes will rotate around campus. If you want to donate, ask a Cadet where a box is. Please fill them with treats, energy drinks, thank you cards, pictures, letters, jerky, gift cards, etc.!
Campus Clean up – October 23rd after school. Food will be provided!
Powderpuff Football will be Friday October 30th – permission slips are going to be available. If you’re interested go see Miss Stewart. Only 50 spots available for players. More information to follow. If you want to coach powderpuff please see Miss Stewart.

FBLA Meeting October 21st at 7:00p.m. in the student center. Bring a friend! Meeting topics include competition sign up, costume contest, prize giveaways and carnival games.
Counseling News ASVAB Testing for 12th and 11th graders will be on November 17th and November 19th. Space is limited to 30 per testing date please sign up in the counseling office.
The Lassen High Chapter of the California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is now accepting applications from Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who earned stellar grades last semester and serve in our community. Applications are currently available in the Counseling office. If you need assistance please see Shanda or Mrs. Satica – we would be glad to help you fill out the application, or drop your completed application off in Counseling. Our first meeting of the year will be Thursday, October 22nd in Lab 112.
The SAT will be offered at Lassen High School: March 13th Registration deadline February 12th with Late Registration March 2nd.
