Impact Awards
Congratulations to Mrs. McCloskey on receiving the first Impact Award! Students if you know a teacher or staff member that has made an impact on you. Don’t forget to nominate them up at the Main Office.

Free Breakfast and Lunch
From now through December 31st the cafeteria is offering students free lunch and breakfast each day.

ASL Club Meeting will be next Tuesday at 12:30 in the library.

Attention All Aspiring Artists
On October 1st Lassen High will be having a Chalk Pastel Art Day where students will have the opportunity to draw an 18”x18” school appropriate drawing of their choice on the cement wall leading to the 700 building.

“We encourage all of you who enjoy creating art to join us in creating a temporary outdoor gallery at LHS. To be a part of this campus beautification project, bring a sketch or picture of your intended chalk art to Ms. Weiher by Tuesday 9/29 (rooms 716 and 717) for approval.”

There are only 25 spots available this time, so get your drawing in ASAP. We will be creating our artworks during 1st and 4th periods on Thursday October 1st.

Sports
Volleyball Open Gym will be held Monday and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00p.m. in the Big Gym

Softball Open Gym will be Tuesday and Friday from 3.30 to 5 at Riverside Park

Football 9th and 10th grade players will have weight training Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 3:15 to 4:00 pm.

Freshman and JV will have conditioning on the grass on Wednesday 4:15 to 5:30 Varsity Football will have conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday 3:30 – 5:00

Soccer Open Fields will be Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 to 4:30 at Riverside Park.

Counseling News
If you are planning a trip during the school year you must come to the Counseling Office at least 14-days prior to the start the Short-Term Independent Study process. If you have questions please come by the counseling office.

This Fall, the Society of Women Engineers will be hosting a 10-week long mentorship program to support female and non-binary high school seniors who are interested in applying to engineering majors.

The program will run from September 24th to November 22nd and is open to high school seniors who identify as female or non-binary.

The SAT will be offered at Lassen High School
November 7th – Registration deadline October 7th with Late Registration October 27th
March 13th – Registration deadline February 12th with Late Registration March 2nd
