Lassen County School Superintendent Patricia Gunderson issued a brief statement on Wednesday clarifying plans for the closure of county schools through the end of the current school year.
The statement was meant to clear up confusion after local COVID-19 Incident Commanders listed ‘schools with modifications’ on their list of entities given the green light to resume operations on Tuesday.
“Schools in Lassen County are working on their plan for opening campuses in the fall,” explained Gunderson. “School campuses will remain closed to students for the remainder of the 2019/20 school year.”
Gunderson said that the Lassen County Office of Education will continue to provide information to parents and our community as they finalize those plans.
