Lassen County Public Health Celebrates Vaccination Week

This is National Flu Vaccination Week
Lassen County Public Health wants to remind you that it’s not too late to get vaccinated for the flu this year. Help recognize National Flu Vaccination Week and get your flu shot now if you haven’t already.

The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older as the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses.

Influenza Vaccination Week is a national observance that was established to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as fostering greater use of flu vaccine after the holiday season into January and beyond.

So don’t celebrate the holidays with the flu this year. Call Lassen County Public Health to make an appointment at 251-8183 to protect yourself and others from the flu. For more information on the flu and the seasonal flu vaccine visit www.cdc.gov/flu.
