Office of Emergency Services COVID-19 Update

As of 5:00p.m. Monday the Lassen County Office of Emergency Services is reporting that our county is still free of known COVID-19 cases.

So far 53 people in the county have been tested with 47 negative results and 6 tests still pending.

The Lassen County COVID-19 call center was established on March 20th and according to the OES is averaging 10 to 15 calls a day.

The purpose of the call center is to provide information to the public and refer the caller to their medical provider if they need to be assessed further.

As the COVID-19 cases in the United States reach 330,891, California is preparing for an increase in the number of people who urgently need health care in our communities. The state is opening additional health care sites to treat people affected by COVID-19 and to relieve the pressure on our health care system.

To ensure that these sites are staffed, the Governor is calling on healthcare providers, behavioral health professionals and health care administrators to register today at: https://covid19.ca.gov/healthcorps/. The website has a step-by-step guide for how to register. You can play a critical role in responding to this public health emergency here in our area.
