Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Sunday, April 21st, 2019

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

The 2019 Spring Show that will be held on Saturday, April 27th, from 10:00 to 3:00pm, and will be held at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. A few vendor spaces are still available; if you are a business that falls in home, garden, recreation, or you are a wedding vendor we hope you will participate. The one day show is a great way to advertise your business or service to over 1500 people who, on average, attend the show each year. Food and beverage will be available and entry into the show is free for the public to attend.

The Chamber attended the March 2019 Reno Outdoor Recreation, RV, and Boat Show as a booth exhibitor. Volunteers manning the booth handed out Lassen County area and outdoor recreation information to attendees. The Chamber board made a financial and staffing commitment in order to promote Lassen County with a presence at the show.

Thank you to the following individuals for their volunteer help at the four-day Reno Outdoor Show: Jean Coye, Rod Chambers, Bill Payer, Kerri & Terry Cobb, Penny Artz, Linsey Ritchie, Gary Palmer, Tom & Andrea Traphagan, Sarah Garate, Jeremy Sanchez, Sandy Muttucci, Val Aubrey, and Gary & Susan Felt. Their volunteer help made attending the show possible.

Chamber members should be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members. Many materials are in need of restocking before the summer season arrives.

It’s been a long winter. Are you ready for the tourist season? The tourist season is fast approaching– take a good look around your business and be sure that it reflects pride of ownership that encourages people to come into your business. Let’s all do our part to make our community and businesses successful by making our storefronts welcoming to area visitors and local residents.
