Patti Hagata, Executive Director

From all of us at the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, we extend heartfelt thanks for all the support we have received this past year. We are fortunate to live in a community with so many individuals who give of themselves to help us accomplish the many activities throughout the year- we could not be successful without you! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year!

The Chamber board is pleased to announce the selection of two new members to the board of directors; please join us in welcoming Shantel Thompson, US Bank Branch Manager, and Lena Lozano, Mt. Lassen Properties owner/ manager. They will begin their board terms at the January 2019 board meeting.

Thank you to 2018 board president Bill Payer, Manager-Tractor Supply, for his leadership and service this past year. Congratulations to the 2019 officer team that were elected at the December 13th  board meeting; President Gary Felt, retired; Vice President, Daniel Kazakos, Northeastern Rural Health Clinic, CFO; and Treasurer, Mandy McGarva, CPA.

2019 Labor Law posters that feature the required federal and state notices on one poster will be available soon and can be purchased at $30.00 each for Chamber members or/ non-member for $40.00 per poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. They are due to arrive by the first week of January. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster for your business.

The Chamber has received the shipment of updated Lassen County Maps which are available for free at the Chamber office.  Thank you to those of you who advertised on the maps which made the project possible. Maps are the most requested item we get here at the chamber office. Give us a call if you would like a box of maps to use at your business location.

If we could have a moment of your time...

In the last 15 years SusanvilleStuff has become Lassen County's most influential media source with an average of 21,000 people visiting and reading stories about our little corner of the world each week.

SusanvilleStuff is our area's only locally owned news and information source and our commitment is to our friends and neighbors, with the goal of creating the best, all-around, most reliable content, while at the same time highlighting what makes Susanville and Lassen County so incredibly unique.

Why We Need Reader Support
Our independent, local coverage takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. While we make most of our money from advertising revenues, in today's media landscape those can only go so far to support what we do. Every single dollar our readers contribute goes towards making SusanvilleStuff a stronger voice in the community with better, more comprehensive content. We increasingly need the help of our readers to support us with either a voluntary subscription or a one-time contribution.

You don't have to subscribe to SusanvilleStuff, but we will be incredibly thankful if you do!
