Join us for the Thursday, October 18th, Chamber Mixer as Sierra Desert Properties and Flanigan Leavitt Insurance Agency team up to co-host this month’s mixer that will be a Tailgate Party Theme. They encourage you to wear your favorite team jersey. The mixer will be held at Sierra Desert Properties, located at 613 Main Street, in Historic Uptown Susanville, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The mixer will include a celebration of Flanigan-Leavitt Insurance 135 years in business and 45 year in Susanville area, and the opening of Sierra Desert Properties in uptown Susanville. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend everyone is welcomed and we encourage you to bring a friend!
The chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill two board vacancies; one is an unexpired term, which expires in December 2020, vacant because of the recent passing of Vicki Lozano, and the second, is to begin a new three year term that will be created after Phil Fetterman’s term expires. If you are a chamber member and are interested in applying to fill one of the board vacancies, stop by the Chamber office, located at 1516 Main Street, to pick up an application.
Bring your little ghosts and goblins uptown for the Historic Uptown Susanville Association’s Annual Safe n’ Sane Halloween on Wednesday, October 31st, from 3 to 5pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville. Main Street will be closed in the uptown district for safe passage of participants. This event will include trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger, costume contest, pet contest, music, and the very popular coffin races.
