Don’t miss out on the Annual Rails to Trails Festival that celebrates the rail-to-trail conversion of the old Southern Pacific Railroad’s Fernley and Lassen branches to what is now the Bizz Johnson Trail. The festival will feature a chili cook-off, vendor and artisan marketplace, and kid’s activities. This is a great event for the whole family so make plans to join in for a great fall day of activities. The event will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 10am to 4 pm, in conjunction with the Bizz Johnson Marathon, at the Historic Susanville Railroad Depot. Historic Uptown Susanville Association is preparing for the Annual Safe n’ Sane Halloween that will be held on Wednesday, October 31st, from 3 to 5pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville. This event will include trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger, costume contest, pet contest, and the very popular coffin races. The Chamber has partnered with Spring Hill Press to produce a map of Lassen County with up-to-date information, and accurate detail of the area. The map will be approximately 2’ x 3’ size in full color on 70# high gloss paper and produced digitally, allowing both the legibility and accuracy to meet high standards.
Advertising on the map gives you the opportunity to reach new residents and area visitors. As one of the most requested items at the Chamber, 10,000 maps will be produced for distribution. Spring Hill Press will produce all artwork for the ads at no additional cost to the client. We are now in our last few weeks before going to print and there are only a couple of advertising spaces left on the map; to secure one of those ad spaces contact Spring Hill Press at 1-800-627-8141 and ask for Margo.
Chamber members should be sure we have updated brochures and business cards in our visitor center lobby so we can promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all chamber members. The chamber office is open Monday through Friday 9AM – 4PM.
