Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Sunday, June 17th, 2018

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

Its summer job time and LHS staff are ready to help you comply with the California Department of Labor Work Permit requirements for summer employment of minors (under 18). Work permits will be valid from June 9th through August 25th. To begin the process, summer employees must go to the Safety Office at Lassen High and pick up their application for the work permit. A permit must be completed and returned to the high school; it generally takes one business day to issue the work permit. The LHS office is open, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4pm, until June 29th. For questions contact M. Medina at LHS at 257-2143.

The board is accepting applications to fill one unexpired board vacancy. Chamber members who are interested in serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Contact the Chamber staff at 257-4323 for more information or to have an application forwarded to you. Deadline to submit a board application is Monday, June 11, 2018.

Start shining up your classic car for the 26th Annual Main Cruise Classic Car Show n’ Shine that will be held on Saturday, June 30th.   Classic cars of all years, makes, and models are welcomed; the show n’ shine will be held in Memorial Park from 1 to 6pm.  Food, beverages, and a variety of vendors, including a beer garden, will be available during the event. Bring a lawn chair to enjoy the day and listen to live music featuring Forgery.  Log on to www.lassencountychamber.org  to download an application to showcase your classic car or enter a vendor booth.
