Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

Plan to attend the first Chamber Mixer of 2018 and join us as we welcome the New Year at the Thursday, February 1, 2018, mixer that will be hosted by Diamond Mountain Casino, Hotel, and Brewery, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the Willow Room. No-host bar and appetizers will be served. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend everyone is welcomed and we encourage you to bring a friend to mingle with friends and business associates.

Chamber members should make sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members. Many brochures and business cards are in need of restocking.

The Chamber has a very small quantity of  2018 Labor Law posters still available for sale which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. Remember that to be in compliance California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business.  We have a limited quantity of posters so stop by the chamber office located at 1516 Main Street to purchase one for your business.

The Chamber plans to represent Lassen County by participating in the Reno Outdoor Recreation Show that will be held March 16, 17, and 18, 2018. The Chamber board has made both a financial and staffing commitment in order to showcase Lassen County at the show. We are asking for the communities help in manning the three-day show by volunteering for a shift; if you have knowledge of the many outdoor recreation opportunities our area has to offer we could use your help. To find out more about volunteering at the show please call The Chamber office staff at 257-4323. We hope you will consider giving your time and help to ensure the Chamber can accomplish this most important outreach in marketing Lassen County. Our commitment to the show is a big step in promoting Lassen County to future visitors and business move-ins.
