Come join all the fun planned for the Main Cruise 25th Anniversary Celebration that will be held on Friday, June 23, from 5-9pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville and Saturday, June 24th, from 2-7 pm, in Memorial Park. The two day of events will feature, kids activities, slow drag races, derby car fun runs, classic car show n’ shine, motorcycle show n’ shine, street dance, food and craft vendors, and live music featuring “Forgery”. There is still time to sign up your classic car to participate in the show n’ shine or to reserve a vendor booth at the event; applications for the car show and vendor booths are available on our website lassencountychamber.org or contact the Chamber office at 257-4323.

One of the many fun activities planned during the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Main Cruise will include the first ever Lassen County Soap Box Derby that will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2017. This event is sponsored by the Lassen County Chamber and the City of Susanville with the help of the Silicon Valley Derby Association and this will be an officially sanctioned event. The derby car races will be held Saturday on Nevada Street, Susanville, beginning at 8:00 am. On Friday evening June 23, in Historic Uptown Susanville, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, we will be holding “fun runs” on North Gay Street, where local kids can experience riding in a derby car. Businesses are encouraged to join in and support the celebration by entering the “Main Cruise Business Dress-Up Contest” that will take place on Friday, June 23rd. Judging of businesses entered will be done from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday. Dress the era of the classic cars and show off your business and your community pride while supporting the 25th anniversary celebration of the Main Cruise Classic Car Show event by entering.
