The Lassen County Chamber board is accepting applications to fill a job opening for the Executive Director position. Applications are being accepted and will be taken until the position is filled. Long time board member Matthew Pregill, Pregill Insurance, Inc., has submitted his resignation from the board. We thank him for his many contributions during his time on the board ā€“ he will be missed! The board is accepting applications to fill the unexpired board seat. Chamber members that are interested in applying can contact the office staff to have an application forwarded to you.

The Chamber Marketing Committee asks area businesses to take a 3-minute survey. The survey will help the Chamber serve you better. They would appreciate all responses by Sept.30th. SurveyĀ Link:Ā https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N7ST8GM

The Lassen County Fair is seeking a Fair Theme for 2022. Come up with a theme for next yearā€™s Lassen County Fair and you could win admission and carnival passes. The contest is open to all Lassen County residents. Entries can be emailed to [email protected] or turned into the fair office. Be sure to include your name and contact information along with your submission. The deadline to enter is September 30th; the winning theme will be picked at the Fair Boardā€™s October 12th meeting.

The Governor signed into law a comprehensive package providing urgent relief for the small California businesses.Ā  Economic Resources Corporation is hosting an informational webinar on the application process for the Relief Grant. The application process is not first-come, first-served.Ā  Based on annual gross revenues for the 2019 tax year, an eligible business can receive the following:

Revenues $1,000 to $100,000 = $5,000 grant
Revenues $100,000 up to $1,000,000 = $15,000 grant
Revenues Greater than $1,000,000 to $2,500,000 = $25,000 grant

We are pleased to have Business Advisor Clint Koble, from the Sierra Small Business Development Center, available for FREE small business consulting at the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Office. In the month of September, he will be at the Chamber office every Wednesday, from 9am to 4pm.Ā Clint can assist with questions on business, marketing plans, loan assistance, business plans and CA COVID-19 Grants or any other business related questions that you may have. If you suffered losses from the Dixie Fire you are encouraged to register with FEMA.Ā The registration period is August 24 to September 25, 2021.Ā  The Incident Period (when damage occurred) is July 14, 2021.Ā  The end of the Incident Period will be announced in the future.
