Lassen Lit Rocks holds free adult reading classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday’s classes are held at the Lassen Library and Thursday’s classes are held at Shaffer School. For more information please call the library at 530-257-7471.

Come out and join the Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms of Susanville for a special fundraising event at Lumberjacks restaurant. The Blue Star Moms will be assisting the waiters and waitresses serving dinner between 5:00 and 8:00p.m., in the hopes that you will tip them big! Those tips help the serve the military sons and daughters. People can get a 15% coupon from any Blue Star Mom. Lumberjacks contributes 15% of the bill when you use the coupon!

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an Open House.  This event provides an opportunity for the public to come learn about the operations of their Sheriff’s Office.  Staff will be available to provide tours of the Sheriff’s Office, 911 Dispatch Center and the County Jail.  The public will be able to learn about Patrol Operations, Jail Operations, 911 Dispatch, Civil, Investigations, Boat Patrol, Concealed Weapons Permits, Coroner Operations, and others. The tours will be available from 4:00 to 7:00 at 1415 Sheriff Cady Lane in Susanville. The Sheriff will hold a public meeting at 7:00 P.M. during which he will provide an update on Sheriff’s Office Operations and answer questions presented by the public.  This open forum will give the public an opportunity to learn about criminal justice system reforms and their impact on the local justice system, as well as our communities.

Knights of Columbus Wednesday Night Bingo. 5:30 – 7:30p.m., dinner, 6:30 pm early bird bingo, 7:00p.m., regular bingo games. The Ridin’ High at the Ranch race is a point to point Cross Country race located in Susanville California at the Susanville Ranch Park.   This year race will be our 6th annual running of the race. There are race classes for all ages and abilities.  Five riders to make a class, smaller classes may be combined.  Awards to three places in all categories.   Pro classes will receive 100% class payback.​​ Cash prizes will vary depending on class size.
