Susanville Police Department and United Blood Services of Reno Battle of the Badges is a friendly competition between law enforcement and emergency personnel to see which agency can donate the most blood. All donors will receive a limited-edition Battle of the Badges t-shirt and a chance to win a Harley-Davidson from Chester’s Reno Harley-Davidson. Event will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 905 Richmond Road from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Ales for Trails: LLTT Fundraiser and Membership Event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Lassen Ale Works Boardroom on Johnstonville Road. Live music and locally-produced beers will highlight the event, which will allow attendees to enjoy time with friends, dance to an eclectic mix of music, and to drink some delicious local beers! Tickets include 2 beers and dinner, with discounted rates for current Lassen Land & Trails Trust members, and a free ticket for new members. Proceeds will support Lassen Land & Trails Trust’s work to conserve open spaces and working landscapes and to promote our recreational trails network. $25 general admission, $20 LLTT members, FREE ticket for new LLTT members (who join at $50 level or higher) LLTT members get an additional $5 for each new member they refer to join.
