Kathleen Ann Gard passed away in Reno, NV. with her husband, Ronald Allen Gard of 27 years by her side Friday, May 9, 2014, of a lengthy illness. She was born November 4, 1949, to Eugene Kindice and Josephine White of Sacramento, CA.

Kathleen worked for the State of California, DMV, for over 16 years, She started in the Roseville, Ca. office in 1971. Kathleen had a great work ethic and strived to accommodate the public. Kathleen became Manager of the DMV in 1985 when she alone ran the Alturas office for over two years. In 1987, Kathleen transferred to Susanville Ca., office on Roop St., and then opened the office located in the Lassen Shopping Center. Kathleen retired in 1988.

Kathleen loved riding her Harley, going to campouts, sewing, and indoor plants were her passion.

Besides her husband Ronald, Kathleen is survived by their child Michael C. E. Gard of California, Kathleen’ s Daughters Lisa Dyer of Idaho, Diana Tupper Of California and Donica McHenry of California. Also by Ronald’s children David Gard, Jeffrey Gard, Ronald Gard Jr., of California and Jason Gard of San Diego, and 10 grandchildren.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her mother Josephine Kindice and father Eugene Kindice of Sacramento, Ca.

Viewing will be at Walton Colonial Mortuary on 5/21/ 2014 between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. followed by the rosary. Funeral services will be held 5/22/2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.; she will be laid to rest at Diamond Crest Cemetery.
