Juvenile Arrested After Main Street Gas Station Robbery

A 14 year-old Susanville boy was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly used a knife to rob a Main Street gas station.

Susanville Police Department were dispatched to a Main Street gas station at around 5:40p.m., after receiving a report that a robbery that had just occurred.

“Once officers arrived on scene they contacted the involved parties,” explains Susanville Police Captain Ryan Cochran. “After investigation of the incident, they discovered a 14-year-old male juvenile had robbed the gas station armed with a knife.”

“The male juvenile brandished a weapon and demanded money to which the store clerk complied.”

Shortly after the suspect had fled the scene, he was apprehended by officers.

During the investigation the weapon and currency were located and the juvenile was turned over to the custody of the Lassen County Probation Department.
