Susanville Property Management: Assistant to the Property Manager

The Assistant to the Property Manager provides service and support in order to provide exemplary internal and external customer service to all clients, customers and others involved. Acts as the secondary point of contact for owners and tenants of residential and/or commercial properties managed. Internally works with maintenance, repair, accounting, administration to facilitate maximum productivity, efficiency and profitability. Works with outside vendors and business partners as needed. Ensures maximum owner profitability and safeguarding of owner property assets. Contributes to the success of fellow employees and the organization as a whole. Provides suggestions and recognizes opportunities for improvement to any and all aspects of the operation.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide timely and exemplary internal and external customer service.
  • Effective and professional communication with owners, tenants, clients & prospects.
  • Efficient navigation of the web-based automated management system.
  • Routine property inspections of properties

Qualifications Include:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to act rationally and professionally in difficult  situations
  • Team player and effective collaborator

Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable with database management, CRM programs, Microsoft Word and Excel, and working with digital photography.  Must Type 30 WPM minimum. Familiar with computers, printers, scanners, automation, smartphones, mobile apps, Facebook, texting, email.

Customer-focused: You know people and know how to effectively communicate with them. You are solution-oriented and can Keep Calm and Carry On. You are great at interacting with clients and are great at building relationships.

Professional Experience:  Candidate should have at least 5 years direct customer service and/or supervisory experience combined with a knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures are requirements of the position.  A California Licensed Real Estate Agent status is a bonus.
