$13.79 – $17.27 per hour, plus benefits package

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Correctional Clerk will perform a variety of responsible administrative, clerical and paraprofessional non-sworn law enforcement work involving the processing and maintenance of departmental booking and inmate reports, records, and files. The major duties of the job include:
• Perform a wide variety of record keeping, filing, indexing, and other general clerical work related to booking and release of jail facility inmates.
• Process inmate cash including intake and receipting of funds, manual and computer posting of deposits, cash withdrawals and release of funds checks; balance cash on each shift by reconciling cash received and disbursed during that shift.
• Type reports, statements, letters, petitions, civil and criminal complaints and other material.
• Process, maintain and clear warrants.
• Send and receive teletypes on State and Federal systems.
• Deliver court documents and serve subpoenas as assigned.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience: One year of general office experience including typing and public contact.
License: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license.
